Summary: There is no doubt this home has a lovely outlook across the lake and great access to bike tracks etc... We met with family from Wellington as it was a great halfway spot. The home is large enough for two families and the use of bikes and kayaks was a great bonus too. If staying here for any length of time bring board games etc... as there are none on offer. The kitchen had a major ant problem so make use of the two fridges as ants will attack anything left out for any length of time. A little bit of maintenance is needed around the place, the umbrella is broken and dishwasher needed to be fixed before use. If you are sensitive to noise at night, keep in mind there is a busy road directly behind too, I know this is mentioned in the listing though. Certainly what let down the experience was the agency, Bachcare did not reply to one message I sent them via Bookabach. Getting answers was difficult.
